Distant stars πŸ’«

Here is to all those who lost someone in their lives. Someone who meant the most to you, someone who made you happy and brought out the best in you. Be it a lover, a friend, a family member or someone who inspired you to be who you are today, the loss is irreplaceable, the need to fight the pain of not having them around is heartbreaking but it’s not impossible. Sure, there are days where you just want them to be with you, to make you laugh and to give their shoulder to cry onto but then again, nothing’s there and that’s when you need to put yourself together. You can live, with or without them.

Being a 19 year old, I have lost some very important in my life and I know how hard it can be. There are days when all I can do is go down the memory lane and wish to relive those beautiful memories, but that’s the thing about wishes, they come true once in a blue moon. Everytime I wish to have them back in my life, I end up crying and wanting for more.

Although, losing people close to your heart does not mean your life has ended, or the ones who still are there have stopped existing. Be with them, they are the ones who still love you enough to be with you and make sure you are happy but never depend on someone. Be good enough to find your own happiness, be productive enough to have a better future. It’s okay to not surround yourself with a lot of people, I realised this with time. It’s okay to prefer quality over quantity.

To all those who have left me, when you said your last goodbye I died a little bit inside. But now I know how to live again. I know how to make myself happy again and I want all those who have suffered the same to stand up and make the most out of themselves. There is more to life then just trying to hold onto people who don’t want to stay. Be wise enough to choose the right thing for yourself and the ones who have left you. Self investment is the new happy.
